Congrats to Lauren!

All day we have been shopping looking for the "perfect dress" for Lauren! She will be wearing it for Homecoming Assembly! She found out last week that she was Heritage Academy's Junior Maid in the Homecoming Court this year! We are excited and we KNOW she will look beautiful as always! Congrats!
Tyler also plays on the Heritage Football team, so maybe he will get a lot of playing time, the night of Homecoming! Go Pats!!!!

Last week, sickness in the fam!

Last week was a rough week! I had a horrible cold and couldn't take any meds due to breastfeeding, lost my voice and missed TK's brother, Tyler's Birthday Dinner. Then, Brantley was allergy tested, and turns out he had a sinus infection at the time of the visit. Jaxson got his 2 month shots. (Poor brantley had a lot more sticks though :(o) My mother- in-law's puppy died and TK's dad left for Iraq, Iran or one of those places, we just dont know at the moment. Needless to say, we are looking forward to having a GREAT week this week!!!

Baby Announcement

Katie McCrary designed this adorable announcement for us. I keep them in my purse and hand them out to people as I see them! The ones we mailed out were from Party and Paper in Columbus and they were a gift. I wanted to send both out, but I knew people were probably tired of getting mail from me (invitations, thank yous, announcements, etc.). Thank you Katie for all the hard work!!!!

I Love Fall!

Fall to me, is the best time of year! Wonderful weather, beautiful days with the perfect temperature! It makes me want to stay outdoors! This is the absolute best time of year to go to the park!!! We are going to start next week, going to the park after school. Brantley is excited!!!!

Cute Baby Stuff on Sale!!!

There is a cute shop that has baby stuff, gifts, etc. that rent from TK's parents. A Few of My Favorite Things They are having a great sale on baby stuff and just wanted you bloggers to know! I think the whole store is around 40% off and some is even 60% off!!! In this picture is a cute blanket that TK's mom got Jax yesterday. It has a matching burp cloth! so cute!!!

2 months old!

Jax is now 2 months old! Doing great! We went to the doctor on Tuesday. He weighs in at 14.6 and is now 24 inches long! He had to get his shots and it broke my heart! It was so sad, but we made it through! He only cried for a few seconds, and then I fed him so he was great! I know that I was more nervous for him and scared that it would hurt, and he acted like it was nothing to it (almost!). And of all days, TK had a very important meeting he could not get out of. The above pictures are him before we went to the doctor, one while waiting in the lobby, and one while he was waiting on the table for the shots. (Poor Baby!) He did great all day after we left, that night he ran a 99.5 fever, but other than that he did great!!

Jax's New Ride

Our friend Katie, bought a BOB stroller a couple of months ago. TK loved it and wanted to get one. ( Thanks Katie :)!!!) I just wanted to get one that had somewhere to carry stuff at the bottom and easy to push in the galleria, out at The Summit, neighborhood, or anywhere else we go. We stopped by Bob's Bikes in Homewood, on Monday, after taking TK to lunch. There, we found the stroller. The color was being discontinued for the fall and they gave us a great deal on it!( And it was already put together and with a great warranty- which is a great plus!) I like it a lot, just trying to get Jaxson to fit in it!

The Sweet Shop is Now Open!

We worked very hard this weekend to open! Cooking, decorating, etc...It is adorable!!! We are proud! TK's mom did an awesome job! I think it is very cute, cute gifts and gift baskets! Come and Visit! We are located in The Ruth's Building, downtown Columbus!!!!

Kids and Dry Cleaners

When you have kids, you never know what will happen. The dry cleaners found this in TK's pocket. I guess Brantley was trying to scare him, instead he must have scared the cleaners!!!!

Tribute to 9/11

We will never forget where we were when the biggest change/attack in our country for our generation happened. I couldn't find Brantley's I Love New York Shirt, so I just posted Jaxson's picture. New York is one of my favorite places and like TK's second home (growing up he always went to market with his parents for their store for weeks at a time) I know that on that day many others lost thier lives in planes, The Pentagon and other places- but I just always get the mental picture of the twin towers falling when I think about September 11, 2001. I have a lot of New York pictures to post, but my scanner is down so I cant post them. Thanks to all of the men and women who fight for us each day and the ones that have already went to battle for us, so we can be at home with our loved ones safe each day!

Daddy and Diapers

I went to Target for 20 minutes on Saturday, when I came home, I changed Jaxson's diaper to find it on backwards. I asked TK what happened and he said "he was crying and screaming so I put it on the best I could, you wouldn't believe how upset he was!" I was laughing so much, I had to take a picture. Sorry TK!

Smiling Baby!

Jax always looks so serious! (he gets it from his daddy) He has started to talk to you, coo and laugh at you! I could not wait to show these pictures off!

Hello Harvard!

These days kids learn so much- maybe he will have a shot at getting in! Notice the chocolate on his face and he looks drained like he pulled an all nighter!

My 2 boys!

Everytime I get a chance to get matching outfits on the boys I do. I think they look cute and I know that it won't last long, Brantley wanting his little brother to dress like him. Soon he will be too cool!

7 Weeks Postpardum Depression

Well, I was doing okay, until I got on the scale today at the doctor's office! After I left the doctor, I went to the Vestavia YMCA and joined! I gave my nice nordic track treadmill to my dad, when we made the spare bedroom a nursery, so now I have to pay to work out! We live in an awesome walking neighborhood, but I need to do more than run and walk! I have got a lot to lose!!!! To tell the truth- I am actually doing great, everything went well at the doc and now I am looking forward to working out! I feel like I have not had a baby, just look like it! I have done great since the c-section! Would recommend it to anyone who is prego!!! I was up walking the night of the section, and have not stopped since! Anyone with great workout tips please let me know! I am breastfeeding so I really cant diet or take any metabolism boosters- if you know what I mean!

7 weeks old!

Today, Jax is 7 weeks old! Time flies! He has slept through the night 3 times now in the last week (10ish until 5:30ish) and the other nights we were in Columbus visiting family, so he woke up once each night then, but went back to sleep until around 8 am. I almost woke up scared, but since we have the angel monitor with an alarm, I was a little more calm. The first couple of nights still scare you! He is doing great weighing about 13 pounds and almost 23 inches long. He is growing fast! Our friend Chris Stockman took pictures of all of our family with Jaxson on Monday! Cant wait to get those pics!!!! They were awesome! We saw them before we left the studio! I can wait to get a collage of all of them and put in his nursery! Thanks Chris!!!
