Where did the time go?

I can't believe that today, I will go to Brantley's school for his last kindergarten day and party! I am noe the mother of a first grader! It seems like yesterday I was preparing all of his kindergarten things and making sure we had everything perfect for his first day of school. It also seems like yesterday he went to the pumpkin patch and Christmas tree farm. I am getting upset even typing this! Brantley has learned so much this year and I know that he is going to miss Ms.Burk! She is truely doing what the Lord has called her to do! She is awesome! Although I am sad about today being the lst day of K5, I am blessed to have such a wonderful son! He is precious! For all of you that know Brantley- he is the most kind hearted child there is! He is so sweet and joyful! He is also the best big brother and Jaxson and I are so excited he will be home with us all day the summer!

Hi to all of you~
I am asking prayer from each of you for the Chapman's~ I'm sure many of you have heard of Stephen Curtis Chapman, a few years ago, while living in Nashville, David,my husband, had the honor of flying this sweet family back in forth to complete paperwork in order to adopt this sweet little girl from China, her name was Maria, the paperwork which David flew them for was completed here in the states, anyway, David was on the plane the day that this sweet little girl became a permanant part of their family, this at a time, when we ourselves so desperately wanted children, so I remember all too well, the described excitement that David encountered, today, Maria was killed in Nashville by the Chapman's SUV~ it appears to be a complete accident, but Stephen's older biological son was driving in their driveway. Please pray for this sweet family, if you have ever heard the song Cinderella, Stephen wrote that and he also performs it~ it is a fairly new song. I am once again reminded that Life is short and I pray that we all know Jesus a bit better in this moment than you did 60 seconds ago.

We are still alive!

Sorry that I have not posted in several days. This is Brantley's last week of school and we have been busy with parties, baseball, end of the year treats, etc. Jaxson also has his first cold and an ear infection- the left ear. He was blessed with that from his daddy. I myself have never had ear trouble and Brantley to this day has never had an ear infection, so this is all new to me- well sorda- I was an ENT nurse for 3 years and always had to give advice over the phone to moms and dads with their screaming child in the background, but it is all new and different when it is your child! And this is a must have!!!

Sunday School Party

Saturday we had our Sunday School Class over for a Fiesta! It was a lot of fun planning- except for I planned for everything to be on the back patio- due to rain it was moved inside, but we did get to play games outside and we had a blast! The Ice Cream truck even came by!

I love the smell of.... anything clean

People would say that I... talk way too much, but I am very outgoing, nice to almost everyone

I dont understand why.... Models are always skin and bones, I mean Anorexia is a disease not a fashion statement. (You have to know where I work and what I deal with everyday, there is a difference between healthy and sick looking)

When I wake up in the morning... for the nights that I go to sleep, I love seeing TK first thing, then I am getting the boys up, usually rushing Brantley to get ready for school, the nights that I work night runs into morning and a dread 280 traffic on the way home!

I lost my will power to... go way out of my way to be nice to people that dont care and never change their view of someone, life is to short to try to beg someone to like you- I quit trying months ago!

Life is wonderful with... my 3 boys!

My past made me... realize that time flies and to take each day moment by moment, not to rush!

I get annoyed when..... I walk into a restaurant with a baby and the hostess ask Smoking or Non? Hello!!!

Parties are not .... a time for adults to drink around young kids when kids are invited, if you are going to act like you are in college again, dont invite kids!

Dogs are... great for protection and for snuggling with- Callaway is the protector and Daisy Rose loves to sleep right next to me

Cats are..... fine as long as they are away from me

Tomorrow I am going to..... host a party- get some sleep

I have a low tolerance for.... cigarette smoke- cant stand it, should be outlawed

I'm totally terrified of.... snakes!!!!! They are of the devil! - Seriously, read the Bible!

I wonder why I thought my life would be.... slow paced, I cant find time to breathe these days!

Never in my life..... have I been to Disney World

High School was something that..... I wish I would not have taken it for granted- they really were "the best days" without worries and I let them slip away, I guess I just mean that I would have lived it to the fullest

When I'm nervous... I bite my nails- I know bad habit!

One time at a family gathering- ok, I am still not over this- We were at TK's mom's and we were having Christmas lunch, Kate* was about to give birth in 2 days, a guest arrived and told everyone that they were there because everyone at their home had the stomach bug, immediately Kate had to leave- due to the possibility of catching it, we were all upset because we wanted to have dinner with our family, not someone who was trying to escape theirs. So long story short, Kate leaves and about an hour later- the person who has the "stomach bug" calls and said he really did not, he just needed peace and quiet for the afternoon, so he told his wife he had the "stomach bug". I still get angry when I think about this- it ruined our dinner!!!!

take my advice... working a couple of nights a week and taking care of a 9 month old all day and a 6 year old is hard!

Making my bed is..... a challenge some days, I usually like to lay jaxson down for naps and nap with him, so some days my bed is not made at all, and sometimes it is made before I do anything in the house

I'm almost always.... up late at night, unless I worked the night before

I'm addicted to ...... One Tree Hill, Desperate Housewives, The Hills- I know too much TV, but atleast it is TV

I want someone...... to cover my shift tonight- I am tired!

Little time and BIG things to do

Tomorrow I am hosting a Cinco de Mayo party for our Sunday School Class (small group). I am waiting to decorate- plans are to have it outside, but weather.com is predicting rain. So, any pointers for having a fiesta inside vs. outside? I got the idea from Katie McCrary, last year she hosted a wonderful baby shower for us and it was so much fun. Since our SS group wanted a social this weekend, I thought it was the perfect theme. Hope all goes well- I will post pictures after the party, or maybe before- if I have to decorate inside.
