E-I-E-I- Ooops!

The 2nd grade class at Brantley's school had an end of the year musical, E-I-E-I-Ooops! Brantley was chosen to have a main part, he was the mule. He was shy at first about his costume, then we we walked in to play practice and he saw 3 boys dressed like pink pigs, he decided it was ok to be a mule. He did a great job on all of his speaking parts!

I am a true soccer mom...

This was Brantley's first year at "traveling soccer". He played on the U8 team for our local league. He loves it, but he has to play the whole game, so he is usually sluggish and tired at the end. He has done great! Above are a few action shots taken from the game. He is #11.

A day at the zoo...

On the train- ready to see some "mamimals"
In the children's petting zoo. He was scared at first, then he saw the other children doing it and realized it was ok.

Thankfully in 90 degree weather, our zoo has a splash pad!

I took Jaxson to the zoo last Friday. Our little "last mommy and me trip before summer" . Little did I know that, there would be 100 buses in the parking lot for the "last field trip of the year" for several schools. We still had a blast! That night we finished the day off with a party at the Baron's game that ended with fireworks, daddy and Brantley were able to come too!

Brotherly Love

These two boys are the highlight of my life, and TK too! Brantley and Jax are now more like big buddies! They both miss each other when they are away from one another. Jaxson loves to go visit Brantley at school, and Brantley loves to pick up Jax from preschool on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I never thought they would be this "close" being 5 1/2 years apart. I was wrong! Jaxson loves to wear clothes that were once Brantley's, he will ask me 100 times in one day- This was Brantley's? I have on Brantley's shirt? He thinks he is so big! I never thought having two boys would be this much fun! Everyday is a new adventure, and it is NEVER boring around this house anymore!

Living Museum 2010

Brantley was John Deere this year in the 2nd grade "Living Museum". He did a great job! Each time someone stopped in front of him, he had to say a speech- with all the info about John Deere's life. He did a great job, and I was so proud of him!

Hollywood Studios

We went to the Dine In restaurant. It is set up like a drive in movie theater. It was a 50's style diner- old movies and great food!

TK and Brantley at the Drive In- TK was finally feeling better!

Disney 2010

I am not finished posting all of our Disney pictures, but before I forget, here is a list of things I learned while at Disney World.
1. The Disney Dining Plan is a MUST! We did the deluxe dining plan, 3 meals and 2 snacks, per person, per day) We were able to have character dinners, character breakfast, eat at Downtown Disney, etc. It saved us a ton!!!!
2. Character Dinners/Breakfast/Lunches are the best! Your child will feel so important. In the parks the lines are usually long and it is a " snap the picture and move" type setting. You have to atleast do one!!!
3. Fast Passes are great, but they run out, and I mean FAST!!!! We were unable to ride the Buzz Lightyear ride due to this. All the Fast Passes were gone 30 minutes after opening and the standby line was 2 hours!
4. It doesn't really matter where you stay, as long as you stay on Disney property. Disney has made all the resorts great- the rooms might not be, but you are at Disney- not really a vacation!
5. Magic Kingdom is great!  Toontown is great for preschoolers! Also Hollywood Studios is great too- since  they have Playhouse Disney shows, characters, etc.
6. Get a Photo Pass- if you buy a vacation package, it is in your "packet", Go online and activate it. It is the only way we have all 4 of us in a few pictures!
7. It takes a while to travel to and from your resort to restaurants, parks and Downtown Disney. Allow yourself plenty of time, especially if you have reservations! reservations are a MUST for all character dining!
8. Disney is not cheap- but not as much as I thought! You can get awesome package deals anytime of the year! I loved going in late February! I don't do very well in the heat unless I am in a pool or by the beach!
9. Your kids don't really care if you don't get to ride a certain ride. There is so much to do, it is almost impossible to do everything in one day at each park- with younger kids.  There is so much to do and see!
10. It is really hard to follow an hour by hour schedule! I like to plan. But, at Disney it is hard, due to wait times, etc. Certain shows start at certian times, but if you are waiting in line for a popular ride, you might have to wait until the next show!
I am not a Disney expert- we had a great time! My boys had a blast. TK did get food poisoning, so he was in bed for 2 days, and I tackled 2 character dinners and Animal Kingdom by myself! Next year we are doing a Disney Cruise, and I can't wait!!!!!

Donald's Safari Breakfast in Animal Kingdom

This breakfast was so much fun! This is probably the best character breakfast! Great food and the characters spend a lot of time with all the kids!
