Isabella is home!

Isabella went home yesterday afternoon. Erika called me and said that they were doing better, Isabella was eating and acting more like herself again. She responded well to all the IV meds that she was given. So as of now, they are all home trying to get better and stay well. Just an update to let you know how they are!

6 month check up

This week we have been to the doctor twice! First time was on Tuesday, Jax developed a cough that I was concerned about- since I have asthma. All was good- clear lungs! yea!!! Then, yesterday was his scheduled 6 month appointment, so we went back to see our normal doctor. He said that he was great, low grade fever was from teething- which duh Haley- his clothes and bibs have been drenched for the past few days! I just second guess myself when it comes to my babies- and that is why my friends, I will not work in pediatrics! I did have my doctor give Jax a flu shot- living in the south- the flu hits here later, so something to think about if your baby is now 6 months old! He was a little fussy last night- but overall doing good. Just a clear runny nose and cough from the drainage. He is 18.16 pounds. He has gained 2 lbs in the last 2 months and is still on the charts with a big 97 percentile! Growing Too Fast! Next appt is in April at 9 months!

Update on Isabella

I just talked to Aunt Joanne (Erika's mom) on my way home this morning from Jax's appointment. Isabella is having to stay overnight again- due to the diagnosis of Bacterial Pneumonia. When I was talking to the family earlier Erika was trying to get her to sleep and Sam was on the way to pick up Erika some medication- for she is now coughing, and little Landry is still on breathing treatments. Maybe Sam will not get sick, there needs to be atleast one well person in the family! Just an update! Will post more as I hear it.

Pray for Isabella

Isabella was just admitted to the hospital today. Her breathing is about 80 respirations a minute and 104 degree fever. She has a little IV in her and is getting fluids and is being kept overnight. Please keep Erika, Sam, Isabella and Landry in your prayers! Erika and TK are cousins- so I am keeping up to date with the family.

Jaxson's First Snow

Posted by Picasa

Got Snow?

These pictures were taken earlier, before the heavy snow- but my camera went dead. This is Jaxson's first snow and Brantley missed it! He is in MS today for the long weekend! I am sad about it! We had a great time with our neighbors though! Maybe I can post more snow pics after it finishes!

100th Day of School

Tomorrow is the 100th day of school. Tonight we placed 100 balls(baseballs, soccer balls, footballs, volleyballs) on his poster for the 100th day of school. His project was to collect 100 objects and display them somehow. Having an infant in the house, we really dont have that many small objects, so we displayed these using all of his arts and crafts supplies.

Brantley also got his first "big boy haircut" today. I was sad- but I am getting over it. Maybe it will be easier to brush in the mornings before school now!

6 Months old

Tomorrow Jaxson will be 6 months old. (I am already tearing up blogging this) This is a picture I took this morning before we ran all of our errands. He is not happy in this picture, he was tired of all the flashes. He is still in a 2-3 pampers, only found at babies r us and diapers.com. He is now eating solid food twice a day- and sometimes 3. He is still on mommy's milk about 5 to 6 times a day. (Depends on how naps go) It is kinda sad, and now in about a few months, I will have to start planning his first birthday party! He is such a joy and he is growing up way too fast!!!

I have now decided to go back to work just a few nights a week. (Good thing I am a nurse, cant leave my babies now- too attached by staying at home) So really, I will still be a STAH mom, just working a few shifts at night. It will be a good chance for me to actually leave the house and make some money. I am starting to work at an eating disorder treatment center, so not your typical nursing job, but a VERY interesting one and I am looking forward to it! For the past 6 months, TK has not had to get up with Jax or get up early in the morning with him, but that is all about to change!!!!

Tomorrow on Jax's 1/2 birthday- they are predicting snow- that might actually stick. So tonight we went to get wood for our fireplace- a first for the Wood Family! (And, yes mom, I have already been to the grocery store!) We thought it was time to put our fireplace to good use and what better time- than when it is snowing? Also tonight while TK was buying wood for our fireplace- he noticed that they had a few sleds left, so now we own a snow sled! A few other dads were in the store buying them too, and when we left they were sold out. Maybe we can use it, then sell it to the neighborhood kids for triple the price since they are on high demand- just kidding!

Moving on Up!

Jaxson is now rolling everywhere he wants to go!
The picture in the bottom right- he started on the
blanket and look where he was by time I got my camera- maybe
all of 3 . 5 seconds.
Notice the picture in the highchair, I was preparing his baby cereal-
and he fell asleep! That was a first- too sleepy to eat!

Staying Safe in Bad Weather

According to James Spann- take cover!
Brantley was out of school at 1 today, so I rushed along with every other mom and dad to school, to check him out about 12:20, I was also worried about my neice who is in the 5th grade, so after getting Brantley out of school, I rushed to the intermediate school to get her. Luckily we only live about 3 miles from the Elementary and not even 500 yards from the Intermediate- so all went well. Now I have all 3 kids with helments on. May think I am CRAZY- but according to several things that I have read lately, it says to put your child's bicycle helment on them. So we are all prepared. Hope your family stays safe!!!!

My Favorite Picture!

Afternoon at the Park

Yuck!

On Saturday, Jax tried his first solid food, Organic Sweet Peas, Yuck! He hated them! He has been on organic rice cereal and oatmeal for about 3 weeks now, so I thought it would be okay to mix in some organic solids. He thought differently. it was not what he was used to. We are trying to only give him organic foods and juices. He recently started organic pear juice 1/2 with water because he had a think runny nose. It helped too! Jaxson loved it, but he only has 2 ounces a day mixed with 2 ounces of water after his baby oatmeal for right now. So far, he is eating well, but he hates Peas. So daddy went into the cabinet and took out all the sweet peas!

My First Peabody Duckie

Everytime we go to The Peabody in Memphis- we always buy a couple of ducks. This was Jaxson's first. Brantley got a cute one that quacks all the time too!

First Day at the Park

Jax loved the park! He just wanted to watch all the other children! He was still kinda small for the swing, so we adjusted it to almost fit him and then TK and I were at each side! (He wasn't sure about the slide)

Sleeping Better

For the past few weeks, Jax wakes up about 3 times in the middle of the night. I thought it was teething, but then realized he has only done this since we took him out of the bassinet. So on Saturday, we went to Babies R Us (which is now one of my favorite stores, Saturday was my first time to ever go, I know- Crazy) Anyways, we bought a new Pack in Play by Graco- (our other one stays in MS at Grandmother's house) that is new- and the bassinet is alot sturdier than most. Here is a picture of our sweet baby sleeping in it, and a picture of Daisy Rose trying to be a baby. Keeping our fingers crossed- but since we bought it he has taken all naps in it, and slept thru the night again!!!

Almost Sitting up!

Jaxson is now trying to sit up, he pulls himself up and is pretty stable until he tries to get his toes!

Brantley News

I always have to post what this funny little man says! Last night I told him that I was looking for a nursing job, to work about 1 night a week and every other weekend. (I am ready to get out of the house for a bit, plus extra money never hurts anyone) Right when I walked in the door from the interview,Brantley was excited and wanted to know all about my job- where I could make more money to buy him more toys. Then, he looked up at me and said "did you go to an interview at the webkinz store? I sure would like it if you worked there so I could get all the webkinz in the world free". Only if life could be lived with a child's vision!

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year to everyone! We are just back from staying at The Peabody, T.K.'s and my favorite place to stay. We left Monday, arrived at the hotel walked around to see if anything had changed in the past year, then we got ready for dinner- met several friends at The Butcher Shop, then returned to our great room to watch the Ball drop in NYC. We had a lot of fun, and we are now glad to be home! Jaxson went with us, he loved the Peabody and all of the attention from friends! Brantley stayed in Mississippi. It was a short trip- but much needed! I will post pictures as soon as I get them loaded, and again- Happy New Year from our family to yours!

Christmas Day

Kaden
Brandon, Brantley and Jon Tyler

Jaxson-Present for Me???

Jon Tyler- we still love him even if he likes "the other team"

I was unable to get a picture of everyone, so I am just posting the kids. We missed my brother and his family- they were home the weekend before Christmas and we couldn't make it. Sorry Britt! Christmas was a special time. We woke up at our house on Christmas morning and opened presents, then, we left for home- we still call it home- since both of our parents live their. We arrived at my parents house first- opened presents and had a fabulous lunch, then we spent the afternoon at TK's uncle David's house- talking to family, then, we went to TK's Mom's house and visited everyone one last time (Family from Nashville and Miami) then, back to my parents house for dinner then, we came back to our house. - Long Day!!!!!! Still trying to catch up! But, Thank you to everyone for all the gifts! We are so fortunate have such wonderful families! We had a wonderful time seeing everyone and spending time together!

Santa Came!

Santa visted 2 sweet little boys at our house! He even let Mark the Elf stay a little while longer, because Brantley has been so good lately!

Santa in the Neighborhood!

We love the community that we live in! We live next to a huge city, but just outside enough to enjoy family life. Santa came by our house on a firetruck on Christmas Eve about 6 pm, then he came by Aunt Brandi's house about 7:30. I think the adults were just as excited as the kids! The firetruck siren (sp) was on, so we knew he was headed our way! At each hoime you could see all the children jumping up and down outside their homes in their pajamas. Christmas is so much fun!!! In the picture above, one is Santa on the firetruck and the other is Brantley and our little neighbor Caleb. They were so excited and they were even happier when Santa gave them some candy!

Christmas Eve

Here are few pictures from Christmas Eve. We had dinner at Brandi's house- TK's sister, then we hurried home to get in bed so Santa could come!
