Brantley is tired of me taking pics all the time so tonight I let him take a few of his own. Here they are!

The picture on the top, is a gift that he and Jaxson got me last week. It says "Mom, thank you for all that you do, this bubble bath is a gift that says I Love You." I wanted to cry when I opened it! I thought it was so sweet, and no, I will never use the bubble bath because I want to keep it forever!

6 wonderful weeks

Our Baby is 6 weeks old! Hard to believe! He is growing so fast! We are loving every minute of it! He is a great baby, sleeps good, eats well, and is healthy- we are blessed!

Getting Ready for the Game

TK graduated from State, and when he found out we were having a boy, his mom and he went to The Lodge and bought every outfit they made for kids. Brantley and Jax have a lot of matching ones that are really cute!

Brantley and Books

Brantley loves to read and today as TK and I were looking at plants, he decided on his own, to sit down and read. He is such a sweet boy and we are looking forward to a wonderful kindergarten year! Last night, I had Parent's Academy at his school to learn all about what they are doing in class. I was so amazed!

Day out with just the two of us!

Jaxson and I went to meet our great friend Jennifer Bentley for lunch on Monday. We had a great time and even went to my fave restaurant- Edgar's. Actually it is a wonderful Bakery, but they also serve lunch and dinner. I went there all the time for my sweet cravings with Jaxson, now I go to try to get a healthy sandwhich, but sometimes I have to get a treat! Here is a picture of Jax from yesterday, he was smiling and talking to me as we were getting ready.

Congrats to Wesley and Katie!

Wesley Sanford (one of TK's old roommates at State and good friend) and his wife Katie, are the proud new parents of baby Clark. Clark was born today at 4:08 and weighed 8lbs. and 13.5 oz. Congrats! Here is a picture from when we visted them in Nashville at the end of June. Katie and I were both sporting our bellies! I was a lot bigger!!!!

I just love this picture! Brantley is such a wonderful big brother and such a wonderful blessing! He helps me a lot and he is such a sweet child! I love you Brantley!!

Finally, a restful weekend!

This weekend was great! TK and I both got a lot of rest and a lot of things done around our house! Saturday we woke up and Brantley and TK went to get hair cuts, then they picked Jaxson and myself up and off to the galleria!!! This was our first outing in Birmingham since baby Jax- so I was really excited to get out of the house! My favorite is The Summit , but it is too hot for outdoors! Since the heat was bad we went to the galleria- too many people, and all I did was look at every stroller that went by! (Including the Bugaboo, that I want really bad!!!) We looked at Halloween costumes at The Disney Store, went to Bath and Body Works (great sale!) and then, I became hungry! We left the mall because, the food court was way too crowded! After eating at the Olive Garden- we went to Patton Creek to the cutest stores, Wrapsody and Sew Precious. These stores are so cute and if you are ever in the Bham area- check these stores out, great gifts and adorable baby items!!! On Sunday, we just stayed at home. TK and I want Jax to be a little older until he goes to the nursery at church (shots and all). We go to a large church and there was 4 babies from our Sunday School Class born the same week, if that tells you anything! Anyways, on Sunday TK had the great idea to book a trip to New York - one of our favorite places! But after really thinking it over- we decided to wait until next year. We knew people would think we were crazy for taking a baby and too much to worry about with an infant. So we both realized today that our traveling days are over for now- maybe next year! :(

Daisy Rose

We have wanted an inside puppy for a long time, so TK got her for his birthday. Lauren his sister also got Zoe, Daisy Rose's sister. TK also got a Nintendo Wii that he and Brantley are enjoying!

Jaxson's new friend!

On Saturday, Jaxson met Nash! They were tired of getting pictures made, it looked like a photo shoot when the party first started! They are both so cute! Katie took this pic, thanks Katie! Jaxson also met his cousins Landry and Isabella, cousin Erika's twins! Babies everywhere these days! It is amazing how Jaxson and Nash were born on the same day, and TK and Lu grew up together! We were so excited when we found out Lu and Katie were having a baby around the same time, and even more excited when they were born on the same day!

TK's Birthday

TK was 28 on Tuesday! We had a wonderful party on Saturday night with friends and family. At first it was going to be a surprise, but that changed, so he knew about it. Happy Birthday TK!

1 month old!

Jaxson is now one month old. We went today for his well check up and he is 12.6 lbs. and 22.5 inches long. He is doing great with breastfeeding with only a few supplements, He is sleeping well and now wearing size 1 diapers and his 0-3 month clothes now fit!

We are going home tomorrow!

I am really excited about going home this weekend! Jaxson and Nash will meet for the first time! For those of you who do not know- Nash and Jaxson were born on the same day and their daddys are life long friends, and now their mommys are friends and have a lot to talk about these two babies! TK's birthday is next week, so since everyone was coming to meet Jax, I thought we could just celebrate TK. On TK's 21st birthday his mom was diagnosed with a brain tumor. This time of year always marks the anniversary date and we thank and praise God that she is doing wonderful! WE love her so much and this makes 7 years! As of the last MRI she had in the late fall, the tumor was still the same size, in the same spot and no change since the day they discovered it. This weekend will be fun filled and busy! We are looking forward to seeing all of our families and everyone meeting Jaxson. Baby Jax just can't wait to meet baby Nash!

4 Wonderful Weeks!

4 Wonderful weeks have gone by, and it really seems like yesterday!!!! We are loving every minute of it! Jaxson is doing great, growing too fast! TK is starting to adjust a lot better these days and he actually kept him today while I went to lunch with friends that I used to work with (that I miss dearly!). TK had Jaxson for 2 hours, and even changed a really bad diaper!! Big improvement from last week when I was at our neighbor's next door and he called me to come and get Jaxson and change his stinky ( not to mention I was only gone for 5 minutes to pick up Brantley from a play date). These past four weeks have gone by so fast. Now it is time for me to start exercising and lose all of this baby weight! I have been researching mom and baby yoga classes at gymboree play center, but I dont know anyone who has ever taken a class there. (Please leave me a comment if you or if you know someone who has, and if it was a good program or not) I agree with Katie that it is too hot to walk outside and I do not want to take Jaxson to a gym daycare until he has his shots! ( I wouldn't even take Jaxson inside to my old work place to meet everyone (ENT office) because I know all about the germs that come into that office, I am a nurse for those of you who dont know- so I am really not that crazy!)

Brantley is loving kindergarten! He begged me to let him ride the bus, so I let him. Only K- 2nd grade ride his bus and most of the kids are from our neighborhood. Traffic is horrible where we live, and the school highly advises it! It took me 50 minutes to go 2 miles on the first day of school in the morning, and 1 hour from the time school was out to pick him up from the car rider line. ( A lot of stay at home moms these days!) So, when Brant rides the bus I get to see him a lot sooner in the afternoon and ask him all about his day. I look so forward to seeing his smiling face every afternoon!!! Jaxson likes riding in his stroller to the bus stop at the end our street too! It is too hot to stay out long, so only about a 5 minute outing that is much needed!

I know this post has been long, but I just wanted to catch everyone up! We are looking forward to going to MS this weekend to visit! It is TK's bday and the first time to take Jax to see everyone! We will have to post a lot of pics when we get home!

3 weeks old!

Sorry, so late for the post! Jaxson is now 3 weeks old, hard to believe!!! He is such a joy! His eyes are starting to be more defined in color (blue of course! I have blue eyes on some days and green on the other and TK has really blue eyes) and his hair is still a mystery! It looks blonde on the top and sandy brown in the back, oh well, only time will tell!Brantley is adjusting well!These pictures are a few that we took this weekend! Next week, Jaxson will be a month old and we are going to MS for our first visit! We are excited! The next week is TK's birthday (big 28!), so we have a lot of fun things coming up!

Brantley starts Kindergarten!

Brantley was so excited to start school yesterday! He wanted to ride the bus on the first day, but I wanted to take him. He had a wonderful first day! He loved school! Today, he rode the bus for the first time. He ran as soon as the bus stopped so I was unable to get a picture!

Jaxson's First Beach Trip

We went to the beach on Saturday before the wedding. Brantley had swim trunks that matched Jaxson's hat! Jaxson didn't know that he was even there, but Brantley had a wonderful time!!!

Brandi and Sam's Wedding

This past weekend Brandi (TK's sister) got married!!! It was a beautiful wedding in the garden at Sam's parent's home in Fairhope, AL.

2 Weeks Old!

Today Jaxson is 2 weeks old and he is growing very fast. He goes to the doctor tomorrow morning for his 2 week check up. We hope he has regained all of his birth weight back plus more. We will post pics tomorrow after his appointment.

A Long Hot Weekend!

We had a wonderful first full weekend at home with our baby! We had a lot of visitors and a lot of fun! Friday we had Brantley's graduation and TK's mom came to keep Jaxson while TK and I and my mom went to Brantley's graduation. Then, On Saturday, Pops and Robin visited, they came Friday night late and again on Saturday. We took pictures for Jaxson's announcement. On Sunday, we woke up very hot! Our air conditioner had frozen. With a new baby, I was just beside myself. We called someone quick, and they came in about 2 hours to fix it. In the meantime, Jaxson had his first outing to our new Target about 5 miles away. he did really good. I was just disappointed because I tried very hard to keep him away from crowds, except family and friends until he had his first set of shots. But, today I reasoned because I knew that crowds were better than heat for infants. When our neighbors returned from church we hung out at their house for a while! Thanks Jennifer and Robby! Now, our air is fixed and I pray it does not go out again in this heat. This was the first "Home Improvement", besides tile since we have lived here. So today was not the greatest. Tomorrow will be though!!!

Brantley's K4 Graduation

On Friday, Brantley graduated from k4. I was sad the whole time, I think I am just hormonal these days! Brantley starts Kindergarten in a week and a half. I think I am more nervous than he is. He is really looking forward to going to school and meeting new friends. he has already told me he didn't want to do his homework, so we might have a problem on our hands!

First Full Week at Home!

This week has been great! Baby Jaxson is doing well, eating good and resting a lot! Brantley is adjusting well and looking forward to starting Kindergarten in 10 days! I dont know if I am ready for him to start though! Here are a few pics from this week. We have been really busy all week. Learning to adjust. Living out of town with little and almost no family here is hard! We have had wonderful friends from our church bring us dinner each night and friends and neighbors, which is so nice and can spoil you quickly! We have just been staying at home all week and we are looking forward to our doctors appointments this week so we can get out of the house!

Almost a week with our baby!!

We are doing great! The baby is so precious! We are loving being at home! We have had a lot of great food brought to us every day! We are so blessed! We live away from home, but our neighbors and church family have been really good to us. It is hard to believe it has almost been a week. I will post updated pics asap!

First Day Home

Just a small update! We are home now, and the baby is doing great! The baby is sleeping good at night after he eats and is resting well. We have just had immediate family over, so we have had a lot of help, but at night- a lot of alone time too!! We are doing great. I will post more pics when I have more time. Today, I feel good, cant tell I had major surgery, but I just try to keep moving. I think T.K. is tired more than I am these days! He is a lot of help- A Wonderful Husband! Brantley is doing great with the baby too! He says that he has to "sing him lullabies" so he can go to sleep. Brantley loves him so much- but at the same time, I can tell he is trying to adjust to sharing his time with TK and myself. More updates and pics to come- maybe tonight!!
